- Each question has 4 answer choices (reduced from 5 in earlier versions).
- No negative marking — you are not penalized for wrong answers.
- The test focuses on speed + accuracy, so time management is critical.
- Core Composite: Graded on a scale of 1 to 36, derived from the average of the English, Math, and Reading sections.
- Optional Add-Ons: Science and Writing are now optional and only needed if your target universities specifically request them.
- Science section becomes optional (digital: April 2025, all formats: September 2025)
- Math answer options reduced from 5 to 4
- Shorter total test length — about 20% reduction in total questions.
- Focus on analytical reasoning and concise reading.
